Lets Bury The Eagles While We Can

Today, I couldn’t help but notice how many Cowboys blogs and Cowboys fans that suggested we should root for the Eagles on Monday Night Football so that the Dallas Cowboys would be all alone in first place in the NFC East.

Nobody wants to see the Cowboys leading the NFC all alone with a perfect 2-0 record more than me, but let’s get real Cowboys fans…

If there is a chance of having the Eagles start the season 0-2 then that’s what we should be rooting for.

Who cares if the Washington Redskins are tied with us this early in the season? Everyone knows that it’s the Eagles who represent the biggest threat to a division title for our team, not the Redskins.

Let’s hope the Redskins pound the Eagles tonight and hopefully derail their shot at a division title.

As far as the Redskins go, let them enjoy their short stay in first place with our team while it lasts. It won’t be long before they fall to 2-2 and the Cowboys are all alone in first place with a 4-0 record after taking out the hapless Bears and the woeful Rams.

Let me be so bold as to predict that the Dallas Cowboys will go into their bye week with a record that will be no worse than 6-1.

Go Cowboys!

Hate ‘em both, so I could care less. I hate the Iggles more though. But that don’t mean I will EVER pull for the Foreskins. I’m pulling for the Iggles to lose, not for Washington to win.

well, if i have to root for one of these teams to win, it’s gotta be the skins. i just hate the eagles too much to even pretend.
too bad they can’t both lose. :) GO COWBOYS!!!

Good points. Too bad we can’t get them to tie. :-/

Well tough choice but either way they all know the Cowboys are the BEASTS OF THE NFC EAST!!!

I hate them both too, but to bury the Eagles confidence right now would be huge for the Cowboys!

Looks like you called it right Joe! Good job. I know alot of people would never wish for either of those teams to win but I think it worked out better for the Cowboys in the long run this way.

  7. Well Joe, your wishes came true. No way can ever pull for The Eagles anyway. It was a really boring game from both teams if you ask me.
