Today, I couldn’t help but notice how many Cowboys blogs and Cowboys fans that suggested we should root for the Eagles on Monday Night Football so that the Dallas Cowboys would be all alone in first place in the NFC East.
Nobody wants to see the Cowboys leading the NFC all alone with a perfect 2-0 record more than me, but let’s get real Cowboys fans…
If there is a chance of having the Eagles start the season 0-2 then that’s what we should be rooting for.
Who cares if the Washington Redskins are tied with us this early in the season? Everyone knows that it’s the Eagles who represent the biggest threat to a division title for our team, not the Redskins.
Let’s hope the Redskins pound the Eagles tonight and hopefully derail their shot at a division title.
As far as the Redskins go, let them enjoy their short stay in first place with our team while it lasts. It won’t be long before they fall to 2-2 and the Cowboys are all alone in first place with a 4-0 record after taking out the hapless Bears and the woeful Rams.
Let me be so bold as to predict that the Dallas Cowboys will go into their bye week with a record that will be no worse than 6-1.
