NFL Star Sean Taylor Loses Fight For Life

Washington Redskin safety Sean Taylor passed away early this morning after injuries suffered from a gunshot wound. The 24-year old Pro football player was shot at home during an apparent armed burglary. The gunshot was fired at his leg and damged his femoral artery causing significant blood loss. Taylor had been airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL early Monday.

At one point Monday night there was hope after Taylor squeezed a nurse’s hand. However, he never regained consciousness. Doctors aren’t sure how he squeezed the hand, some say he may have been trying to say goodbye.

Taylor’s girlfriend and 1-year old daughter were also in the house at the time of the shooting, fortunately neither were hurt.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this troubled time. May he find peace with the Lord.

  • This is just sad and that’s all there is to it. A young father and an aspiring professional athlete stolen from the his young daughter, his family and his teammates at such a young age. What else can you say when something like this happens other than that it’s senseless?
My prayers go out to all that loved him.

  • i too wasnt happy at 1st when he was signed to the Cowboys. i thought” Jerry Jones..what the hell are u doing to our team???” man am i eating my words now. hes comes out, played his heart out, become a team player, and possibly playing the best season hes ever played. the other guys on the team look up to him, and even the ESPN guys have nothing to talk about with him, but they still take jabs at him any chance they get. im proud T.O. is on our team. HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!
