Pacman To The Cowboys? Oh No, Say It Ain't So…
I just heard the rumors that are circulating regarding the Cowboys making a deal for Pacman Jones. If the rumor has any truth to it, then basically the Titans are just giving Pacman away. It doesn’t say much for Pacman Jones when the team that drafted you and paved your way to stardom, basically traded you for a bag of stale donuts. (a seventh round pick)
I sure hope there’s no truth to any of this. Pacman is the last thing the Cowboys need right now. Unlike Terrell Owens, who was only guilty of having an over-inflated ego when we got him, Pacman has a seedy character and too many run-ins with the law. Adding such a bad influence to a team who is trying to recover from a second straight disappointing finish to their season is bad news.
What this team needs most is another hero, not a thug.
We should be looking for guys with strong character like Jason Witten and Marion Barber, not derelicts like Pacman Jones.

I agree with you on the character issue Joe. As I have said in other comments here at StarStruck, I believe anyone can make a mistake or two and should be given a chance to prove they have changed. I spent 8 years with the N.C. Dept. of Correction as a Case Manager/Correctional Counselor and I saw many guys realize their mistakes and then go on to make changes in their lives that made them responsible citizens. Unfortunately, there were far too many that continued to “replay” a pattern of poor choices that continued to get them into trouble and I would see them return to my caseload well before I had time to put their file away. To me, it looks like Pacman is one of those guys who, for now anyway, is going to continue to make those poor choices that will continually land him in trouble. Sadly, I think the Cowboys have made a poor choice in bringing Pacman here if that’s the case. I love my Cowboys as all other true fans do. I just hope this trade isn’t the beginning of rot starting in our barrel of apples from the one bad one we have chosen to place in our midst.

For the fans that are against Adam (Pac-Man) Jones joining the Dallas Cowboys brace yourself because the decision is not up for a vote. Since purchasing the team, I’ve come to realize that Jerry Jones has made some boneheaded decisions that have backfired, however throughout the years he’s gotten better. Take the Terrell Owens situation, how many of us were against the decision of bringing him into the Cowboys organization? My hand is up in the air because at the start of the contract talks I was totally against it, as stated above the decision was not up for a vote so I either accepted it or lived with hate and discontent (I accepted it) and the rest is like a fairy tale. How bout Terry (Tank) Johnson?
Sometimes a change of scenery is good and because this Cowboys team has direction and a goal, I feel that A. Jones will fit right in.

Hey Joe..
Where was Pac Man going with that gun is his hand? He was going down to see his old lady..caught her messing around with another man..
and Hey Joe..Like the Hendrix reference? Pac Man is all about the wins. I have been a season ticket holder for 20 years. I have sat through too many 5-11 seasons. I am tired of spending my money on players with taste..as the great Charley the Tuna was informed..Sorry Charlie we want tuna that tasted good..Sorry Joe we,the paying customers, want players not saints.
So sign the guy..if he messes up..cut him..

Personal… everyone needs to stop jugding Adam “Pacman” Jones, if he plays with The Dallas Cowboys, the best team in the nfl, he will change, he wont be a problem. Jerry has changed a few people… Dallas is the way to start fresh, just ask Michael Irvin, Terrel Owens, and Tank Johnson… so take it easy on Adam, Its not like we’re going to lose something special over him

I agree joe. Its a tough decision. I hate to think Dallas is a “rehab” for criminals. If he does sign, I hope there is a clause in there – if he gets in any trouble he has to give any money paid back to the Cowboys.
