The Cowboys first two home games will be primetime and nationally televised. The word is they will be during week 2 and 3. Jerry Jones must have made a deal to get national on the two games since we got snubbed on the season premiere.
The metal band Free Reign, whose members include three Dallas Cowboys, will host it’s first concert at Granada Theater in Dallas on April 3rd. The band features linemen Corey Procter (drums), Marc Columbo (lead vocals/guitar) and Leonard Davis (bass). You can visit their myspace page at www.myspace.com/freereign. Cowboys voluntary workouts begin today. This reminds us that offseason won’t last forever. Next up: the NFL Draft, mini camps, training camp, then preseason. See, September will be here before we know it!
AROUND THE LEAGUE
- Michael Vick believes he will return to the NFL and make around $10 million/year. I’d like to say ‘only in his dreams’ but the truth is he probably will.
- If Giant Plaxico Burress agrees to the plea deal proposed to him he will have to serve jail time and miss part, if not all, of the season. Maybe he just wanted a vacation.
- Jason Taylor reportedly told the Redskins that he didn’t feel like he deserved the money ($8.5 million) they paid him and that’s why he was released, despite rumors that it was because he didn’t show up to voluntary workouts. Sounds fishy to me.

2. mike vick will not make 10 million again in this league. he will be given a “prove your worth” contract by some team that desperately needs media attention (good or bad)
