5 Possible Trades That Could Affect The NFC East

NFCI was browsing nfl.com and found this article on 5 possible trades that could happen and almost every one could affect the NFC East.

1. Braylon Edwards from Clevland to either the Giants or Eagles who have the highest need for a reciever at this point in the league.

2. Jason Peters from Buffalo to the Eagles who are currently having a huge hole at tackle and Peters could solve that issue for them, but there is the issue with him wanting to be the highest paid tackle in the league which caused a hold-out in Buffalo last year so there is no clear cut case on wether the Eagles will pay him the 11 million per year he wants or not.

3. Julius Peppers from Carolina to New England. I included this off the list because of all the rumors that he may end up in Dallas, which I highly doubt but if he did some how end up in Dallas he would be a perfect compliment to Olshanky on the other side.

4. Chad Ochocinco from Cincinnati to the Eagles or Giants, although with the drama these teams recieved from Terrell Owens and Plaxico Burress neither of these two teams would be to inclined to go for him unless they cant get Edwards from Clevland or Boldin from Arizona.

5. Anquan Boldin from Arizona to the Eagles or Giants, who ever does not get Edwards will go for Boldin and if they dont like Arizonas asking price look for Ochocinco to end up with one of these two teams for 2009.

All these trades above would be considered block buster trades, and highly unlikely… But… I’ve seen stranger things happen, so of course it’s worth a discussion… With that said, I think it would be more likely that Julius Peppers would be a Patriot long before a Cowboy… Plus I think he would be transitioned to a OLB spot if he went to either team mentioned, like what we did with Greg Ellis.

Chad Johnson isn’t going anywhere, especially to those two teams mentioned, being the situation they’ve had with receivers in the past.

Braylon Edwards and/or Anquan Boldin going to either New York Giants or Philadelphia is the ones I would hate to see the most, being a Cowboys fan. New York Giants are in desperate need of a #1 receiver due to the departure of Plaxico Burress, and the Philadelphia Eagles of being in need of a true go to/possession type receiver for some time now, will this be the off season they realize it? I hope not… 🙂

matt I agree with you about Peppers going to NE before Dallas, like I said I listed that becasue of rumors. Theres a 85% chance that we will see Edwards And Boldin going to Philly and New York and about a 60% chance that Ochocinco will go to one if Edwards or Boldin cant be aquired and the defense will handle any of these 3 with ease with the addition of Sensabaugh at Strong Safety that solves a huge issue of us getting burnt deep when the Safteys were playing up top over the reciever. Also I know that Peppers would be converted I was just saying he would be adding him to the team like we did Olshanky and he plays on the opposite side of Ware and Olshanky if somehow he comes here and therefore creating Possibly the most feared Defense in the NFL if that trade were to someway happen.

josh you said u think there is an 85% chance that Boldin and Edwards leave. well, Boldin situation is that the team will listen to offers. what they have also said about Boldin is they want the same as what Dallas gave up for WR Roy Williams at the least. Braylon Edwards, i think he just had 1 good year in 07. otherwise, no better than Patrick Crayton or Miles Austin.

WR’s dont win championships. Teams that play together win championships, didnt we prove that with the T.O. experiment.
