Everything Is Always Bigger In Texas

We’ve all heard that saying before, haven’t we? Well it looks like Jerry Jones is going to put some bite into that old saying according to this story in the Star-Telegram this morning. When fans walk into the new Dallas Cowboys stadium for the first time, one word will pop into their mind when they see the world’s largest center-hung scoreboard: Massive. Stretching roughly from 20-yard line to 20-yard line and suspended 90 feet above [...]

NFC East News: Giants Release Plaxico Burress

As reported by AP, just days after being granted an adjournment to work out his legal problems, the Giants have apparently decided they can’t wait any longer for Plaxico Burress to work out a suitable arrangement with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office that doesn’t include jail time. Today, the club announced they have released WR Plaxico Burress… “I am an optimist, and I believe most situations can be worked out,” said General Manager Jerry Reese [...]

Historically, Cowboys Have Done Well In 2nd Round

I came across a great article in the Dallas Morning News by Tim MacMahon, who lists the top 25 players that the dallas Cowboys have drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft. Here are the top ten, but make sure to check out the rest at DMN. I’ll warn you that it gets pretty ugly toward the bottom, but hey… nobody’s perfect. 1. G/T Larry Allen (1994, 46th overall) – The most overpowering [...]

Well the Jay Cutler saga is over in Denver now as reported by espn.com the Bears and Broncos have both confirmed that Cutler was traded to Chicago. To acquire Cutler, the Bears had to give up quarterback Kyle Orton and first-round picks in 2009 and 2010, a source said. To complete the trade, the Broncos had to give back an undisclosed draft choice in a later round. The Bears beat out the Redskins, Buccaneers, Lions, Titans [...]

Cowboys Extra Points: Moving Forward

Dallas Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett has joined the blogging world on the Dallas Morning News website. He will be taking the place of former Cowboys linebacker Kevin Burnett. You can visit Marty B’s blog here. Outspoken wide receiver Patrick Crayton is getting some heat about comments he has made recently. However, I find this one quote to be rather refreshing: “It’s time to move forward, nothing we can do about last year. Once it became [...]

Witten Speaks Out

According to a article in the Star Telegram by Clarence E. Hill Jr., Jason opened up about how he feels about the team, and of course, he was asked about TO being released. They just can not let the whole TO thing drop.  Of course, with Jason’s joking personality, when asked about roster changes, his reply: “We made roster changes? I didn’t hear about that.”    When he got serious, he said he was disappointed [...]

Your Wish Is Our Command…

The NFL.com is reporting that quarterback Jay Cutler will be shopped around by the Denver Broncos. Broncos owner Pat Bowlen released a statement saying both he and McDaniels had been unable to get Cutler to call them back over the last 10 days. Bowlen said he spoke with Cutler’s agent, Bus Cook, on Tuesday and came away convinced “that Jay no longer has any desire to play for the Denver Broncos.” Bowlen later said “We [...]
