50 Years of Cowboys Football Begins Saturday

We are coming up on the day we as Cowboy fans having been waiting for since Emmitt Smith retired in 2005. Saturday the great Emmitt Smith will join the other two Triplets when he is inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It’s been a long time coming and it will be a very emotional day for all of us.

The current Cowboys team will be there supporting Emmitt and playing the Hall of a Fame game on Sunday. Interestingly enough, they will be facing the Cincinnati Bengals who now house a number of former Cowboys including Roy Williams and Terrell Owens.

Needless to say, this is our last week without football. This weekend the Dallas Cowboys kickoff the football season with a bang starting with Emmitt Smith and the Hall of Fame.

I couldn’t think of a better way to get the 50th year of Cowboys Football started.

Make sure you tune into the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday on ESPN coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. Central time. Followed by the Hall of Fame game Sunday evening on NBC, kickoff at 7 p.m. Central time.

Can not wait to see Emmitt up on that stage. I really hope that he is the last one to give his speech. How long before Emmitt starts to cry? He is the best RB ever. I don’t care what all the so called experts say.

I give Emmitt about 4 minutes before he starts boo-hooing. And he IS the best running back. The record book says so.

Wow! You’re giving him four minutes? I was thinking during JJ’s speech. LOL. I can not comment on Jim Brown because I never saw him play other than highlights. Payton was amazing, Sanders was amazing as well as a lot of other backs. And if they were amazing and Emmitt passed all of them then that makes him even more amazing. Like many others I watched Emmitt from day 1. The most complete back ever. The best ever!!!!
