It’s Nov. 7th, Do You Know Where Your Football Team Is?

I just want to get one thing straight, I am not blind to the fact that our Dallas Cowboys are the worst team in the NFC. However, that blatant fact is not going to stop me from screaming, “Go Cowboys!” and getting just as emotional during the game as if we were the best in the conference. As explained in my previous post, I am not sugar coating America’s Team any longer but I am [...]

Flashback, Cowboys vs Packers – 1982

Although the Cowboys are in the middle of a very disappointing season I thought it would be a good idea to continue my Flashback posts. It’s always nice to dive into a classic game that involved some all-time great players.  The 1982 season was a strange season with a strike that cancelled seven games of the regular season. The divisions in both conferences were wiped out and when the games started it up again the NFL [...]

Does Phillips Decrease Morale By Punishing Some And Rewarding Others?

Last week, Cowboys beat writer Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News, answered questions for fans in a live chat. The following responses by Archer proved to be very insightful and worth a look. Possible coaching candidates: Gruden would come here in a second. Cowher? I doubt it. Cowher would want more control. Gruden would be open to less of a say, but I said it earlier in here: whoever the head coach is here has more power [...]

Who will be the Cowboys 8th head coach?

As the Cowboys approach mid-season of this disappointing 2010 season, the questions have been asked, ”Who will be the next coach of the Cowboys?”, “Will Wade Phillips remain as head coach for another season?” There are many different opinions from so many different people. Some believe if a coaching change happens it should be someone with experience as an NFL coach. Others think it should be someone young and deserving of a first shot as an NFL coach. Maybe the change should be someone [...]

We Live and We Learn

As you get older you start to understand the world a bit better. You learn that everything isn’t what it seems and money doesn’t grow on trees, you know, the average “it sucks to be a grownup” life lessons. In the last year I’d have to say I’ve learned more about being a real sports fanatic, I’ve opened my eyes and my ears and came to realize everything that glitters isn’t gold. A few years [...]

Dumbfounded, Dismayed And Depressed

When you go into an interview for a job, the employer usually asks you, can you describe yourself in 2 or 3 words. Lets just say its a VERY good thing I do not have a job interview in the next couple of weeks. I sit each week and watch our Boys come out of the tunnel and think to myself. Is this the week they come alive? Is this the week they play together [...]

No Bark, No Bite, No Fight!!

Let’s remove ourselves from being fans of the Cowboys for a brief moment and really look at where this team is right now. We as fans tend to take things very personally when it comes to the Cowboys and sometimes defend them just because we feel we need to. But if we step away and take a look at things…well, they are actually worse then we think they are. After another embarrassing loss on Sunday, this [...]
