A Bad Ending for A Great Prospect!

In watching the pre-season games this year a few names have stood out, but the one I was really excited about was Raymond Radway.  It seemed he had what it took to win a spot on the roster and in the final 3 seconds of preseason, his year abruptly ended with a bad break.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Raymond Radway was perhaps three seconds away from making the Cowboys’ 53-man roster. Radway, the undrafted rookie wide receiver from McKinney, suffered a broken left fibula and tibia and will have surgery immediately after the team returns to Dallas.

ESPN reports that Radway’s fibula and tibia are broken.  I hate to see anyone on either team hurt in a game I’m watching but in looking at that play, I could tell it was going to be a bad one!  God speed Radway!  We hope you have a fast recovery, and look forward to seeing you out there again in a Cowboys uniform!

Yea, it’s a shame. I think he would have been a practice team player for the Boys. He had a lot of promise. He’ll get through this and we’ll see him next training camp.

I agree. Chances are another team would have swiped him from us though if we tried to sneak him on the PS. This might be a cruel way of ensuring he stays a Cowboy. An off-season conditioning and weight training program as well as an entire yearto study the playbook should put Raymond in prime position to make the final 53 next year. Ill be rooting for him!

I felt so bad for him. He stood out from the day one. I was really wanting him to make the team. I know if I noticed how talented he is other people did too so we would of lost him on the PS. I hope he comes back stronger and better than ever. Thinking of you Raymond!

I’m a Dolphan and was at the game.Sorry to hear of his injury.Sometimes we get sooo caught up in rooting for our teams or against others we forget the players are actually human. My prayers will include his recovery.Raymond may you have a remarkably fast recovery and may this act as inspiration for you in 2012.
