GAME PREVIEW: COWBOYS @ REDSKINS

Week 17 Preview:
The Dallas Cowboys have nothing to play for as it relates to their playoff positioning for the season when they meet the Redskins at FedEx Field in the regular season finale. They have already clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with Green Bay's loss to Chicago last week. However, a win would set a new franchise record for most wins in a season, and it is always sweet to beat the Redskins. A Dallas win would probably knock the Redskins out of the playoffs as well.
The Cowboys will be resting a lot of their starters, and even the ones that do play probably won't see more than a half of game action, but that still doesn't mean that we won't be trying to win this game. Wade Phillips has continued all week the importance of winning this game all week, so it should be very competitive.
You have to applaud the Redskins after the death of Shawn Taylor. After a loss in the first game after his death, they have one three straight games, and if they get into the playoffs, can become a very dangerous team.
Terry Glenn could come back for this game, but with nothing to play for, he probably won't play for very long if he gets in.
With this game being meaningless in the standings for the Cowboys, starting nose tackle Jay Ratliff (knee), starting cornerback Terence Newman (knee), and starting center Andre Gurode (knee) are all out. Starting wide Receiver Terrell Owens (ankle), and cornerback Pat Watkins (ankle) are also out. Terry Glenn (knee) is listed as probable, but it will depend on the weather conditions on whether or not he will play.
