ESPN Doing it's Best to Rain on Dallas' 12-2 Parade
With the Christmas season upon us, I feel it's only fitting for me to give a special holiday shoutout to my favorite sports network, ESPN.
Now, most of you know that I'm a huge supporter of ESPN. Let's be real. These people don't care that Dallas has run away with their division. They don't care that Dallas has clinched a first round bye for the first time since 1995.
No, they'd rather dangle the meat in front of the tiger to see what kind of reaction they can get out of players and fans alike.
They'd rather scrutinize Terence Newman for his sarcastic comments leading up to their game against Detroit.
Mike Ditka would rather predict when he thinks T.O. will stab his team in the back than acknowledge that he's had a career best year.
And now, they'd rather call T.O. a distraction for poking a little fun at Jessica Simpson than talk about the upcoming game against Carolina.
If there's one thing I've learned from being a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan for 18 years (that's right, I've been a fan since birth), it's that everything the Dallas Cowboys do will always be under a constant microscope and criticism, regardless of the circumstance.
So from me and my fellow Cowboys fans, Merry Christmas ESPN, and thank you for yet another year of biased reporting. We'll see you in Tempe.

Great work Derek!
When you're as loved as The Dallas Cowboys, you will also be hated by those who cannot beat you or join you. That's something Dallas Cowboys fans have always had to accept. I accept it with great pride!

I've been a fan since the season 77' when I was 10. Never liked or could I ever like the Eagles. The one thing that stands out is the "Bounty" bowl... To hell with Buddy Ryan and anyone even remotely conected to the Eagles(except T.O.)

I can't say that I support ESPN but when i hear breaking news I tend to watch Sports Center to see what going on. As far as I'm concerned i would rather have a root canal. I hate they way they switch back and forth thru baseball, basketball, and football. they will talk football for a few mins then switch to NBA, then to MLB or NHL, then back to NFL again. and in the mean time I'm having to watch the crap that I wasn't concerned about to begin with. and thru them all theres always and I say ALWAYS some Cowboys bashing! It seems like its a must to try and get every Cowboy fan Furious. I've Found it alot more pleasant to just find what I'm looking for on the Internet and leave them Dumb*%$ so called analyst to there own opinions. Makes for a more pleasant day that way! Thats just my Two Cents

I just have to say that I'm about sick of the sports media trying to create a problem in the Cowboys lockerroom where there is none.
Now they are trying to create a rift between Romo and T.O. Anyone with a shred of common sense, that heard T.O.'s radio comments yesterday regarding Jessica Simpson and Romo, knows he was joking.
It seems like their moto is "if it ain't broke, break it".
We all know that Jessica Simpson was not Romo's problem last Sunday. The ENTIRE offense had a bad game, and it had nothing to do with Jessica.
We really don't care if Romo is dating Jessica, or anyone else; we have well founded confidence in Romo, the offense, and the entire team.
ESPN needs to get off the Comboys backs and quite trying to create a scandle among a team that is clicking as well as any in the NFL. Go find a real problem to report on. If there is no worthy sports news, show Cowboys highlights until there is some.

You are right on spot, as usual, Derek! Hey all you Cowboys fans, watch for this super-smart teen's name to be "somebody" big someday in the world of sports reporting! I'll be watching and waiting!

You are absolutely right! It doesn't matter how great Tony Romo may have played - he's never going to be better than Tom Brady in their eyes. That's where all the talk is and it's slightly understandable seeing as how the Patriots are on a role (unfortunately).
But I'm waiting for the day that all of us faithful Cowboy fans can just look back at ESPN and say, "See what you missed out on?".
See ya'll in Tempe!
