Let’s Start Cleaning House Now
Ok the Boys had their season end early again. Tony Romo has not won a playoff game and neither has Coach Phillips and I think I know why. After watching the last four games, There is no doubt in my mind that some players should be cut and sent on there merry way. I think Roy Williams, Julius Jones and most of all Andre Gurode.
I think that since the NFL put in the “Roy Williams Rule" (horse collar tackling) Roy Williams has become one of the worst safeties in pro football and he did not look like he was trying to learn to tackle.
Julius Jones is a different story, he has heart and drive but towards the end of the season he looked like he just did not care, but he will be a good asset on the trading block. This leaves us with Andre Gurode. I believe whole-heartedly that because of his performance during the Giants game was a major contribution in the Cowboys loss. This was truly something, you could see, not only was the team getting penalized for false starts you could see the frustration in Romo’s face when the ball wasn’t getting snapped to him.
So Jerry come draft day we need a center that can snap the ball, a safety who can tackle and if you could beef up that offensive line a little more.

Hey Travis. I do agree that we need to clean house, but I think we are stuck with 2 of the players that you have mentioned. Andre Gurode and Roy Williams are both under long term contracts and to get rid of them would hurt us under the salary cap. As for Julius Jones it is time for him to leave the team. He runs scared and hardly ever leans forward for that extra yard. Maybe Felix Jones from Arkansas would be a great fit along side Marion Barber. Speed and Power in the back field.

I agree with you. Roy can't cover to save his life. Julius can't brake any tackles. Gurode can't snap in shot gun formation. And You should add Crayton to the list. What waist of money.
Next year superbowl bound. Cowboys 4-life!!!

I agree on Julius Jones and Gurode. I think they can still make Roy Williams as a premier safety again. Somehow the defense used was not his style.

Sounds good , but the problem with that is Roy williams & Gurode have big salary numbers it would be to unrealistic to think about. As for Jones, he is a free agent so there is nothing to trade for. So unless ur playing Madden none of the above are possible. The draft is littered with wide-outs & cornerbacks, there is where most of the focus should go.

Roy Williams is old, overweight and will never return to form. Once you get old the body and reflexes just don't function as they once did. Cowboys need to get rid of him, Jacques Reeves, Patrick Crayton and Julius Jones all these players were of no help to the team this season. As for Andre Gurode, he's a solid blocker who just needs help to correct snapping the ball.
