Run....Run....Run

For the first time ever, the Cowboys and Giants will face each other in the postseason this coming weekend. The 'Boys swept the G-men in the regular season in two high scoring games. The Giants are riding high from a great outing against the Patriots and now they are calling his performance against Tampa Bay his final stepping stone to becoming that next level QB.  Can Eli really take down the Silver 'n Blue?

So far in the playoffs the ground game has been key to victories in all games. The 'Skins inability to get the ground game going put more and more pressure on Todd Collins who hadn’t started a game in ten years. The Giants running game was successful controlling the game behind Jacobs and Bradshaw. When the Chargers starting pushing the tempo in the third quarter, the Titans went completely away from the run game and the Jags kept the Steeler defense off balance all day with the running of Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor.

Whether its through the tackles with Barber or around the end with Jones the 'Boys need to control the game with their two runners. The Cowboys have gotten away from the ground game way too easily when the passing game has struggled. Romo coming off a thumb injury, Glenn making only his second appearance of the season, and no one really knows what Owens will be able to do.

The Barber/Jones combo can only help the Romo air attack.  This could be the last year for Jones and he should go out with a bang. As for Barber, I have not seen a back run this hard since Campbell down in Houston. He has shown and if given the chance, should continue to show that he can be a big time back for the 'Boys for years to come.

The Giants started the season in a loss to the Cowboys and they will end their season with a loss to the Dallas Cowboys!!!

Excellent blog Patrick, great points! I would love to see Barber and Jones RUN away with the show!

LETS GO COWBOYS!

Hey Patrick this was so fun to read. Thanks!

Run run run run run!

GO COWBOYS!

Contrary to what I've been reading about Eli, I find him to be one of the most inconsistant QB's in the league. He also has a way of folding under pressure. If our D does what I think they're definitely capable of, he won't be able to handle the pressure.

I'm personally a huge fan of Barber and I'd love to see him run through those Giant brickwalls. He should be used a little more than he has been.

The BOYS will walk away with this one!

i agree... lets run the ball early and break down that defense!!! strahan is old and he will get tired! marion barber is hungry!! hes a beast!!! and j.j. got the quickness! run it! then throw over the top laterz on

WOW that is a great blog! All it takes is faith, to believe that they will come out on top! I believe, I believe. So Run baby run!!
***GO COWBOYS***

Very good blog sir. I find it hilarious that since Eli and the Giants beat a team who's qb has thrown 13 tds, was playing with there backup running back, and best wide receiver was playing hurt that all of sudden Eli has arrived and turned that corner all of sudden. We have all heard the talk before and he will stay true to form and disappoint all the Giant fanz. Go Dallas.

So throwing for 185 yards and 2 TD's is a good performance? Romo did better than that in his LOSSES! Having more INT's then TD's is a good QB? The football "experts" have been saying for awhile Eli is "turning the corner from being a good QB to a great QB" but isn't 4/5 yrs enough to to make that turn? If New York has to rely on Eli to win a game he is just too inconsistant. Eli is a just below mediocre QB and the Boys have stopped the New York running game two times already and should no doubt do it a 3rd time. This is gonna be an exciting game and I can't wait! Go COWBOYS!
