These Cowboy Colors Don't Run

Once a Cowboys fan, always a Cowboys fan. There's nothing to be ashamed of. We had a stellar season (the best in franchise history), found a new franchise running back (Marion Barber) and a new coach who WILL lead us to the bowl in the next year or so. Despite ravaging penalties throughout the game and an explosive Giants defense, I feel we played an excellent game.

There is nothing to be ashamed of, and the better team won. The better team ON THAT DAY. I feel like Marion Barber played his heart out, as did Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, and the rest of the crew. Don't listen to the hype, because there will be a plethora of it surrounding America's Team, and don't get discouraged.

Our season starts in approximately 6 months, and that's where we are as fans. Let me remind you all again, this is not a losing season, and our pride should not diminish whatsoever. We are the BEST team in 2008, and we are undisputably the favorite to win the Super Bowl in 2008, (save that of the Patriots, who prove that the only way to win is to deal with the devil).

I have no qualms with the way things went that fateful Sunday, and I wish the PACKERS the best. As this is my first column, I'll keep it short, but in closing I have to remind Cowboys fans this: We will all be there for next season's kickoff in Texas Stadium, and it can only get better from here.  GO COWBOYS!!!!

You couldnt have said it better ! It was a sad day for all us COWBOYS fans but keep your head high and keep repping for your boys ... Next year will be ours give Wade and the boys a little more time they will prove who is the BEST in NFL !! Today I am repping my COWBOYS to the fullest by wearing all my COWBOY'S gear even after a big loss on Sunday, I am not ashamed I am greatful to have chosen to be a fan of the boys many many years ago !! GO COWBOYS !!

Welcome Josh! Nice article. What a hard time to have to write your first blog but you did a great job!

Good job Josh on your article. I am a bit dissapointed but still a DIE HARD. I guess we have no choice and wait till next year.

It's OK!! We still have a GREAT team. We are the best. Go Cowboys!!

Like I have been saying all day, "once a Cowboys fan, always a Cowboys fan!" I even had someone ask me how Romo could be one of my favs. I replied, he's the quarterback, and like TO says, they win as team and they lose as a team. I will always be a CB fan!

"WIN, LOSE, OR TIE, I'M A COWBOYS FAN TILL THE DAY I DIE!" The loss really hurts, I cried, I was angry, but not disapointed in my team cause they faught hard. I can image how the team feels if I feel like this. Sometimes the best team doesn't always win, but there is always next year! They've been an outstanding team this year and I am proud to call my self a fan! To the Dallas Cowboys, you are and will always be "AMERICA'S TEAM".

WOW.
Josh has to be my favorite news writer so far, he took something so devestating and made me think optimistically towards the future and about our season this year.

Looking forward to more of Josh's articles!

True Blue colors don't run damnit!! haven't for 21years and never will..

I am a little depressed on the outcome of the game yesterday but I will get over it just like a true fan does and should! I said before the game that on any giving Sunday you can be beat and we did! (from a little help from the officiating). I can go on and on about the Refs but thats a catch 22... I am really anxious about the upcoming season and I am very excited about the future for the "real" Americas team. Remember peopl this is just another season and maybe it didnt go the way we planned but remember we have an AWESOME team and will have for many years to come!!! Tears are still fresh in my eyes but life goes on and so will our team! Thank you Josh for your column it was totally enspiring for me and im sure for all Cowboys fans. One more thing...HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!

Welcome Josh! Great post!

I got so many, "I'm sorry" or the 'I told you so'-laugh at work today.

My reply was simple:
" I was there Sunday... at the stadium. I had to make that long walk back to my car after the game...

I'm proud of my team. We had an outstanding season. We won our division, broke records and earned awards! That's awesome! It's not like we had a lay-down schedule. It was a BATTLE!!

And I would do it over again in a heart-beat! I had a BLAST & I still say COWBOYS RULE!!"

There's always next year! I still salute the STAR!!

hey guys, it's josh. you know i was thinking...who did we lose to really? the BEST team (statistically) in the nation, and...one a piece to each team in the NFC East. We;re fine, guys, everyone knows it's the toughest conference in the nation. We had a GREAT season. God bless all you guys, and everyone who wore Cowboys colors the day after, I know I did.

Ive been a Cowboys fan SInce i was about ten years old the time when the cowboys won back to back superbowls in 92 and 93 everybody said i jumped on the band wagon but that wasnt true it was something about watch the Cowboys that amazed me Im a die hard fan and the loss on sunday only got heat from everybody i knew all i had to say to them was and where was team???
