Alleged Trigger Man Says, "Pacman Ordered The Hit"
As I stated last week, the signing of Pacman Jones by the Cowboys was going to become a gray cloud hovering over the team all season long. The Titans' headache was now going to become our own burden.
Instead of debating the draft and waxing eloquent on the upcoming season, we are instead over-shadowed by the grim news that Pacman Jones not only was a key player in the shooting that left three victims in a pool of blood, but that he was the one that ordered the hit.
That's according to the alleged shooter Arvin Kenti Edwards who is being held in a Washington state jail on $1 million bail pending extradition to Nevada. He talked with WTVF-TV in Nashville by phone and revealed the most unnerving details about a plot to intentionally go to the strip club and shoot the place up as ordered by Pacman Jones.
Edwards told the TV station in a telephone interview that Jones lied to police about the Feb. 19, 2007, shooting at the strip club that left one employee paralyzed and two other people wounded. Edwards said Jones solicited another hitman for the shooting.
"I want to let them know I'm not the person who did this," Edwards said. "I've been shot before. I know how it feels."
Edwards accused Jones of lying to help his plea deal as Jones tries to return to the NFL.
Pacman Jones received a new contract after being traded by the Tennessee Titans to the Dallas Cowboys last weekend as these new details were already beginning to emerge.
This has now become a story that allegedly charges Pacman Jones with three counts of conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, solicitation, perjury and possibly even more charges.
As of this morning, getting reinstated by the NFL is now a long shot that may never happen, and the very least of Pacman's problems.
Pacman may never get to play one game for the Dallas Cowboys, but he will forever be tied to the organization by his ill advised signing this past month. While the Cowboys seek to win a championship this season, the back pages and the big story may not be the team, but instead the ongoing Pacman drama that is expected to last well into the season and beyond.

Well here are my thoughts...
Jerry took a gamble and lost. I don't see PacMan ever wearing a Cowboys jersey because I don't think he will be reinstated now.
I honestly believe that this will pass as long as he never sets foot on the field as a Cowboy.
The Cowboys will have a great season and this will be forgotten. It's going to be short lived and old news in no time.

I cant tell you how much this upsets me. I cannot believe our team has associated itself with this criminal. Its just sad.
I hope Tiffany's right...

I am not gonna hold too much to this story yet sounds to me like Edwards is trying to get a deal worked for himself by sayin Pacman ordered this shooting... I think it will be thourougly investigated by the league before any decisions are made & remember he is still innocent til proven guilty

This is just something for the blogs and newspaper to make stories for print. Edward's girlfriend has already told police she was sent by Edwards to deliver the threat. She even gave Pacman a picture of Edwards so that he would know who sent her. She then delivered the money back to Edwards. The Las Vegas police have already gone over all this and are sure they have the right guy!
Why would Edwards lie? Maybe because he has 3 counts of attempted murder hanging over his head!!!
Pacman will be on the Cowboy Team come TC. Why even print this story?

Fan62....in regards to your remark "why even print this story":
This is just a blog site for Cowboys fans to have discussions and share opinions on matters. It isn't a publication and it certainly isn't "in print".
I would also like to add that as a Cowboy fan, I am not sure I care about the fine details of PacMan Jones' multiple arrests and charges. I think what we're saying here is that this guy is trouble we don't need in The Cowboys organization. He may not be guilty of everything but he certainly has difficulty following the right path. I think the big concern for many of us is what kind of dark shadow this can bring down on an Elite Organization such as The Dallas Cowboys. I do believe we have a right as devoted fans, to be concerned.

Sad Sad Sad....You all have heard my thoughts on pacman. Ever since the very first rumor came out about the cowboys looking to sign him. I DONT CARE what the out come is...I DONT CARE for Pacman. Like I said...PULL HIS PLUG! GAME OVER!

It's sad to see someone with great talent go down BUT I DO NOT want my 8yr-old son to watch his favorite team play with an accused "almost killer" being talked about by commentators. My son would think that it's alright to be involved in a shooting then go play football. We need to remember that NFL players are looked at as heroes to our children. The NFL needs to weed the bad ones out as this world is already bad enough without criminals in the NFL! Criminals belong in jail, not the NFL!!!

Im am so confused now! I must have a good heart because I was willing to forgive and forget but I now feel betrayed! I also know this will eventually become old news and we will go on as a Cowboy nation but I sencerely feel that Jerry made a bad decision (if it is true). Thank goodness for the draft now!!! Everyone?...we will be fine. Just let go of what would have been and move on. We still are huge favorites to go all the way next season with or without Mr Pac-man jones. HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!

what a idiotic post..nothing like having a mind set and slanting everything to fit that mindset..if he never is reinstated..then..the titans..borrowed a 4th for a year..that is the risk..or in other words..there is no risk..

First of all let me say this, this was NOT an idiotic post and I take offense to that. Second I'm the LAST person that will defend Adam Jones BUT this Edwards guy is lying. He extorted money from Jones. The phone records show where Edwards contacted Jones in Atlanta and Tennessee. Now I KNOW Jones knows more than what he's saying. But thugs have to keep their "street cred" after all. I think he'll be reinstated. I wish he wasn't in Dallas but I've said that all along and you'd be surprised how many fans would sell their souls for that trophy. I'm not one of them.

Ok ! This is EXACTLY what I Hate most about Blogers and sports writers...... You can Almost Always SMELL it, when one doesn't like a particular Player, such as (Adam PacMan Jones). Here, a Bloger/Sports writer will Print an allegation made by a Man who is incarsorated for attempted Murder and almost the Whole of you readers automadicly agree with His statement.... WOW !!!
Don't you ALL think that this guy is just going to say A N Y T H I N G to try and cop a Plea.... You, who beleve this Load of Crap should be Ashamed of yourselves.....!!!
And You don't give the Police ,who investigated the shooting much Credit either !!!
I Know PacMan has made a LOT of mistakes but I don't, even for a Minute, Beleve this Load Of CRAP ! I think Adam WILL PLAY this Year and Redeem himself Both as a member of socity and as a member of the National Football League.
Go DALLAS Go PacMan !!!

Do you know guys what "Alleged" means?
Idiotic my ass...
Im not sticking up for Pacman at all. I will never like him. I may have to tolerate it, but I dont have to like it.
For now, I'll just hope that he never gets the honor of wearing the STAR.

I agree that this whole story has been fabricated by the guy in jail and the girlfriend. Las Vegas police even stated that these allegations hold no water because the suspect in the case was repeatedley given the chance to turn on Pac-Man when he was being questioned and didn't. I think many of you have the whole mob mentality when it comes to Pac-Man and deservedly so but dont crucify the guy if nothing yet has been proven on these charges. If these charges held any water, Pac-Man would be in a Las Vegas jail at this moment but he is as free as a bird. If I were the main suspect in this case I would also be trying everything to lay the blame off of me.

"I've been shot before, I know how it feels"???
Something tells me not to believe a word this guy says.
Desperate people do and say desperate things.
I honestly didn't want Pac on the team from first word of it,
but now that it's done,
I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

He is a criminal and although he is a great talent, we do not need the circus surrounding him. We can win without him. I just do not get this trade.
