It's About To Get Loud, REAL LOUD!
With less than a week until Training Camp kicks off, this should be our last quiet week for a while. The Cowboys had a good week overall.
- They inked their 5th round draft pick, cornerback Orlando Scandrick to a four-year, $1.85 million deal on Friday, that includes a $185,000 signing bonus.
- Ken Hamlin received a long term deal, insuring he will be with Dallas for the remainder of his career. He signed a six-year, $39 million contract. The deal contains $15 million guaranteed, including a $9 million signing bonus.
It's been a great offseason for the Cowboys. They've locked up valuable players and acquired some nice additions to the roster.
I'm extremely excited about Training Camp and Preseason football. It will be interesting seeing who makes the team and who has to turn in their jersey this year.
The team and staff are expected to arrive in Oxnard, CA on Thursday. Training Camp begins next Friday, July 25th and continues through Tuesday, August 12th. Here is the official schedule:

In case you hadn't heard, Cowboys fans will be able to check out their favorite men in silver and blue on HBO's Hard Knocks series during training camp. The series premieres Tuesday, August 6th. You can actually go to HBO's website and submit a question to a Cowboy and view the teaser trailer.
