Cowboys NFC East Champs – How Sweet It Is!

Going into today’s game, the Cowboys had lost their last nine season finales, and they were going up against one of the hottest teams in the NFC in the Eagles who were on a six game winning streak. However, none of those things meant much against a motivated Cowboys team that played some of the best football we’ve seen all season. Led by Tony Romo, the Cowboys clobbered the Eagles 24-0 in front of a packed Cowboys Stadium [...]

Cowboys Hand Saints Their First Loss In 24-17 Thriller

Wow what an incredible finish to an incredible game, and quite possibly some the best drama we’ve seen all season. The Cowboys did the unexpected and beat the previously undefeated New Orleans Saints 24-17 in a hard fought battle that kept most Cowboys fans on the edge of their seats right up until the final seconds of the game. Tony Romo and Miles Austin lit up the sky and the scoreboard once again on offense, while Marion Barber [...]

Latest Cowboys Injury Updates

As the Cowboys brace themselves for the storm raging in New Orleans, they will have to make do without several of their key players. Head coach Wade Phillips said DeMarcus Ware’s sprained neck is “a lot better” today after injuring it in the fourth quarter against the Chargers, and he is now listed as day-to-day. That said, despite being closely monitored, it’s still unlikely that he will play on Sunday. Rookie Victor Butler will get plenty of playing time in [...]

December Tumble Continues, Chargers Zap The Cowboys 20-17

Before I get into my little tirade, let me first begin by saying how relieved I am that DeMarcus Ware only suffered a sprained neck. Seeing him lying on the ground like that sent chills down my spine and I’m sure all of us collectively held our breaths waiting for DeMarcus to show some movement and give us a sign he was okay. When he gave that thumbs up it felt like the weight of [...]

Weekly Game Balls: Week 13

Unfortunately I’ve had to say this before, sometimes its hard to choose players worthy of game balls after such a devastating loss. This week the offensive game ball was a given but the defensive game ball took some thought. This week’s offensive game ball goes to Jason Witten. Jason Witten never fails us. Even though it had seemed he had slowed down for a few games, Witten excelled during his second consecutive 100+ yard game. [...]

Cowboys Fall to the Giants 31-24

Dallas went to New York with high hopes and fell short, a touchdown short to be exact. Giants (7-5) walk away with the win and are only one “W” out of  first place. The Cowboys (8-4) now share the division lead with the Eagles. Never a dull moment in the NFC East. Early on the Cowboys seemed to be controlling the game with a score of 10-0 up until the two minute warning. Then all of [...]

Weekly Game Balls: Week 12

Some say we shouldn’t celebrate the Cowboys winning ways just yet. Some people think its too soon to start playing playoff parties. Personally, I don’t really care. I am proud of the Cowboys and despite their past December history, I believe we are headed to the playoffs. Their destiny lies in their own hands, and here are a couple of guys who helped earn the victory this past week. This week’s offensive game ball goes [...]

Weekly Game Balls: Week 11

For the most part it was one ugly game. But there were some worthy contributions that stood out among the disgust that most of us felt until the last drive of the game. With that said I present you the game balls of week 11. This week’s offensive game ball goes to Marion Barber. All week we heard about Jerry Jones wanting to give Felix Jones more carries. However, it was Marion Barber who delivered. [...]

Weekly Game Balls: Week 10

Honestly, I didn’t even want to give away a game ball this week. Truly standout performances were non-existent and hard to find. And while some may argue that Roy Williams and his 105 yards deserved the honor, it clearly illustrates why numbers alone does not dictate a solid performance. This week’s offensive game ball goes to Dallas Cowboys Fans. After four straight wins, we knew it would be a tough challenge for the Cowboys in [...]

Packers Break Cowboys’ Winning Streak, Dallas Loses 17-7

The Cowboys winning streak came to a halt today as the Packers beat the Boys 17-7. It was a strong defensive game on both sides but penalties, injuries and missed opportunities ruined the day. The most painful thing to come from this loss will be the hole that Marc Colombo leaves on the offensive line. Colombo went down in the first quarter and later it was learned that he suffered from a broken fibula. Doug [...]

Weekly Game Balls: Week 9

Riding high on a four game winning streak feels pretty good, doesn’t it! What a great game last Sunday night, it was a perfect example of a team coming together for a victory against an intense rivalry. The teamwork executed by the Cowboys made it even harder to choose game balls this week. Of course, that’s a great problem to have. In the words of Coach Phillips, “Everybody made plays when the game was on [...]

Video: Cowboys/Eagles Game Coaches’ Reactions

Excuse me, can someone tell Wade Phillips we won the game? Seriously, we can’t complain about Wade Phillips right now, but his press conferences really make you miss some of the other more emotional coaches interviews. With a record of 28-12, I’m thinking maybe he’s just camera shy because he’s certainly doing things right lately. Great win Coach! Seems like Andy Reid wants to blame the loss on losing the challenge he never should have [...]
