Last Mock Off Season Of January 2012
I have been busy with my off season addiction of researching free agents and draft hopefuls again. Right now I am knee deep in mock drafts and have completed a few complete off seasons as well. I am also currently finishing up my defensive analysis, which I will post in a couple days before leaving for Florida to work for a bit. Here is the last off season mock I made and posted on my [...]

Jones Was Right: Cowboys Should NOT Focus On Drafting A QB
Hello fellow Dallas Cowboys fans. Before I begin my first post I would just like to introduce myself. My name is Greg Pomes. I’m a Cowboys fan from New York City. I’ve been a Cowboys fan since I was seven or eight years old. My favorite all time Cowboys are Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith. I’m looking forward to communicating with everyone about our favorite football team! There has been a lot of talk since [...]

It Takes More Than Sexy Stats To Be A Warrior
I warned about this in my post yesterday in which I wrote: The NFC East title is at stake tonight and for either the Giants or Cowboys, their season is at stake as well. A loss for the Cowboys will be a devastating blow to their season and they’ll have nine months to lick their wounds if that happens. The best bet for the Cowboys, is to take Eli Manning out of the game. Manning [...]

Tony Fiammetta – Large Part Of Running Game
Who thinks the Cowboys will have a better running game with Fiammetta in the game? Or do you disagree with me and think the Cowboys don’t need a fullback like they did earlier this season? Let me know. We will see tonight against the Giants.

Cowboys Need To Take A Giant Step Tonight
I’m still besides myself over last week’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals, but hey every journey has a few bumps along the way. What really irks me more than the losses themselves is the fact that so many of them were completely avoidable and unnecessary. Anyway, here it is… The biggest and most important game of the Cowboys’ season is tonight at 8:20 pm. The NFC East title is at stake tonight and for either the Giants or Cowboys, [...]

Cowboys Secondary Is My Big Concern For Cardinals Game
Future Hall of Fame safety and all around great guy, John Lynch, will be in the broadcast booth when the Cowboys take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The nine-time Pro Bowler knows a thing or two about what constitutes a difference-maker on a team. Regarding the recent good fortunes of the Cowboys in the last month, Lynch had this to say: They have evolved in a very positive way. Before I worked the Rams [...]

DeMarco Murray: The Greatest Cowboys Debut Ever!
I apologize if I’m getting a little bit ahead of myself here, but is DeMarco Murray the next greatest player of the Dallas Cowboys? I mean can anybody ever remember a rookie debut as phenominal as Murray’s first three games as a Cowboy? Not even the great Emmitt Smith was this good. Check out Smith’s first five games as a starter: 9/9/90 – 2 rushes, 2 yards 9/16/90 – 6 rushes, 11 yards 9/23/90 – [...]

Is A Little Objective Reporting Too Much To Ask From ESPN Dallas/Fort Worth?
Cowboys fans are well aware of the hating that goes on from the mainstream media. We see it whenever we tune in to watch the games whether on FOX, NBC or ESPN. Honestly, I’ve become so used to it that my mind just automatically filters it out now. I understand that the anti-Cowboys sentiment is here to stay and it’s not going away anythime soon. What gets me though is one particular clown who just [...]

The Cowboys welcome three new members into the Ring of Honor
At halftime of this Sunday’s game against the Seahawks the Cowboys will be inducting three more players into their Ring of Honor at Cowboys Stadium. The three players are Drew Pearson, Charles Haley and Larry Allen. The last inductions into the Ring of Honor came in 2005 when Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin were inducted together. With the three new additions it brings the total number of players in the Ring of Honor to 18. Then add in Coach [...]

We Finally Got A Featured Back!
Jason Garrett still won’t say if Felix Jones or DeMarco Murray is number one on the depth chart at Running Back, but we all know the answer to that. Fresh off a record-setting rushing performance and the release of Tashard Choice, Murray didn’t come close to replicating his breakthrough performance, mostly because Tony Romo had to abandon the run and play catch the Eagles. Still, the rookie running back racked up 75 yards on just nine [...]

Just What the Doctor Ordered
Sunday against the Rams there was was no need for a comeback. There was no huge lead that disappeared. It was just 60 minutes of solid football from the Cowboys as the offense was able to take control from the start and the defense continued to impress as they shut down the Rams offense and created turnovers. The result was a 34-7 victory over the St. Louis Rams. True, the Rams are one of the worst teams in the NFL right now, [...]
