Week #15 – Fantasy Football Playoffs

It’s show time! Now is the time if you are lucky enough to make the playoffs to get serious, you have some very tough decisions ahead. Most of the work you’ll be doing is trying to decided who is going to be on the field? Example: QB-Culpepper, RB-Charles, RB-Forsett, RB-Davis, WR-Thomas, WR-Cribbs. Now did any of you have these guys on your roster 13 weeks ago? I doubt it. But they will all be starting this weekend and have a chance to make a fantasy impact! So stay on your toes..

QB’s

1)      D. Brees – NO

2)      P. Manning – IND

3)      K. Warner – ARZ

4)      T. ROMO – DALLAS COWBOYS

5)      A. Rodgers – GB

RB’s

1)      C. Johnson – TEN

2)      A. Peterson – MIN

3)      M. Jones Drew – JAC

4)      R. Rice – BAL

5)      T. Jones – NYJ

WR’s

1)      A. Johnson – HOU

2)      A. Boldin – ARZ

3)      D. Jackson – PHI

4)      M. Colston – NO

5)      M. AUSTIN – DALLAS COWBOYS

TE’s

1)      A. Gates – SD

2)      V. Davis – SF

3)      D. Clark

4)      B. Celek – PHI

5)      J. Witten – DALLAS COWBOYS

THURSDAY GAME

IND vs JAC: O.K., the nightmare starts here. They say they will not start and or hold out their hurt players, sheeeez! They have their whole dang team on the Injury Report this week? In “MY” opinion the regulars will start and play this week. Too early to shut them down.

http://www.nfl.com/injuries

SATURDAY NIGHT GAME

DALLAS vs N.O.: This will be the FANTASY game of the week. There will be lots of points to go around. Start all players on both teams. Well, avoid “N. Folk”. Hell I can out kick him.

SUNDAY GAMES

ARZ. vs DET: Arizona will rebound this week against the feeble Lions. Start all Cardinals. Detroit is a waste of time.

ATL vs NYJ: Looks bad for the Falcons! No Ryan, No Turner! I would even avoid the receivers on ATL. Start all NYJ players it could be a blow out.

BAL vs CHI: Start your Balt players and be real picky about who you start on Chi this weekend.

BUF vs NE: Wow this is where all of the Patriots get well. It’s an above average matchup for the Patriots and another bad day for the Bills.

CAR vs MIN: Man it looks like the week of blowouts. Minn should win this game without any trouble. Feel free to start all players.

CINN vs SD: OK scratch my last quote about all blowouts… This is going to be a lot closer, but both teams should score with SD pulling out a win with a better defense. Start all players

CLE vs K.C.: This is one of those games if you need help there are players here (Clev) that will help! Except for Charles, nobody on KC is worth a roster spot.

DEN vs OAK: With Gradkowski (hurt) gone, it will be all Denver this weekend.

GB vs PIT: This game could go either way? I say start the GB passing attack and be careful on Pitt who you start.

HOU vs STL: Bake to the blowouts. Feel free to start all Texans you got.

MIA vs TENN: Low scoring ground game here. Look for other options if you got them

NYG vs WAS: Both team will score but not a lot.. Start ’em if you need to.

PHIL vs SF: With Westbrook back, look for an inspired Eagles team to beat the surging 49ers. It is a good scoring game so start all involved.

SEA vs TB: Not worth even talking about these 2 teams.. There is nobody on ether team that will help you.

Well that’s it from the Gremlins Family Forum. Hope the Gods bless your team, well that is unless you’re playing me :)

Fantasy Report: Week #14 Picks

Week #14 – PLAYOFFS STARTING for most people

For most of us this is the 1st week of the playoffs, that is if we are lucky enough to make it. Now it’s all about winning (win and you continue or lose and you’re out).

If you’re lucky enough to have made it, make sure you really study who’s playing and who’s not.

Take INDY for an example. They have clinched everything but the conference championship. Once they do they will rest their key players like Manning, Addai, Wayne & Clark. So if these are players you rely on then you will need some back up, because they will be watching the game next weekend just like you!

QB’s

1)      A. Rodgers – GB

2)      M. Schaub – HOU

3)      D. Brees – NO

4)      B. Favre – MIN

5)      K. Warner – ARZ

RB’s

1)      C. Johnson – TEN

2)      R. Rice – BAL

3)      M. Jones Drew – JAC

4)      S. Jackson – STL

5)      T. Jones – NYJ

WR’s

1)      A. Johnson – HOU

2)      L. Fitzgerald – ARZ

3)      S. Rice – MIN

4)      A. Boldin – ARZ

5)      M. Colston – NO

TE’s

1)      V. Davis – SF

2)      B. Celek – PHI

3)      J. Witten – DALLAS COWBOYS

4)      A. Gates – SD

5)      D. Clark – IND

THURSDAY GAME

PIT vs CLE: J. Lewis is done for the year. Hines Ward is questionable, Mike Wallace makes a good sleeper here.

SUNDAY & MONDAY GAMES

ARZ vs SF: Great passing game here, start all players involved.

ATL vs NO: Matt Ryan – Out, M. Turner – Out. Coach says that NO will go for perfect season so all players may play thru week 17, but be careful.

BAL vs DET: Great week to have Balt. players, a must start for all involved.

BUF vs KC: Great week for Buff players, a must start for all “KEY” players.

Car vs NE: D. Williams should play. Both teams should run the ball a lot.

CIN vs MIN: C. Henry done for the year. C. Benson may no play AGAIN. This will be a passing game. So start the players accordingly.

CHI vs GB: K. Jones is out. D. Hester should play, but it will be all GB this week.

Dallas vs SD: Ah hell…This is a do or die week for the Cowboys. In fact, every game from here on out is. Romo and the passing game should be fine this week, but the running game continues to struggle. SD is probably going to score and score a lot in the air. Lets just hope its not as much as the Boys do.

DEN vs IND: A. Gonzales is out. Both teams should do fine with INDY coming out on top. Start all.

HOU vs SEA: S. Slaton is done for the year. Schaub is a big question mark right now so be careful. Everybody else should play.

JAC vs MIA: No Injuries and this should be a run-the-ball kind of game by both teams.

NYG vs PHI: My only hope is both teams lose! D. Jackson should be back. This will be a low score battle mostly on the ground due to weather conditions.

NYJ vs TB: No Injuries to speak of and it will be a good run game for the Jets. Both will score some pts this week

OAK vs WAS: Neither team is any good. C. Cooley out for the season. Portis & Betts done for the season..so it’s Cartwright & Ganther? Who? Sheeez somebody has to score, but it won’t be much.

STL vs TEN: It’s Steven Jackson vs Tenn and Tenn will win this one and have a good time doing it.

***

Next week I will be posting a lot more on who is playing and who will be watching!

Good luck and my the Fantasy Gods bless your team.

Week #13    Hot starts for this weekend

For most of us, this is the last game of the regular season because our playoffs start on week #14. I will try and put out a playoff sheet the next couple weeks to try and help figure out who is playing and who is going to be on the bench watching.

QB’s

1)      M. Schaub – HOU

2)      T Brady – NE

3)      P. Manning – IND

4)      D. Brees – NO

5)      T. Romo – DALLAS COWBOYS BABY!

RB’s

1)      M. Jones Drew – JAC

2)      C. Johnson – TEN

3)      A. Peterson – MIN

4)      S. Jackson – STL

5)      C. Benson – CIN

WR’s

1)      B. Marshall – DEN

2)      R, Moss – NE

3)      A. Johnson – HOU

4)      L. Fitzgerald –ARZ

5)      C. Ochocinco – CIN

TE’s

1)      D. Clark – IND

2)      V. Davis – SF

3)      J. Witten – DALLAS COWBOYS

4)      A. Gates – SD

5)      T. Gonzales – ATL

OK Guys! Another Thursday Day Game so make sure you get your lineups in by Wednesday Night or Thursday morning just in case…

THURSDAY GAME

BUF vs NYJ: Owens has had back to back good games since they put in Fitzpatrick, so I say start him. Lynch has lost a step and Jackson is handcuffed behind him, so below average matchup there. NYJ on the other hand, have a sweet running game and it’s a must start for Jones.

SUNDAY GAMES

ARZ vs MIN: This should be a good game “IF” K. Warner can play. It is a must start on all players.

ATL vs PHI: Turner is hurt again and likely won’t play. So I see a rough day ahead for the Falcons running game and an above average day for the passing game. This is a great game for the Eagles so start all players.

BAL vs GB: This game is the beginning of the playoffs for both teams and looks to be a battle to the death. It is a below average Fantasy day for both teams, so be careful who you start here.

Car vs TB: Battle of the “Doormats” here. BUT there is fantasy points to be had. D. Williams should have a good day so feel free to start him. TB is a waste of time don’t start anybody unless you have to.

CHI vs STL: Both teams are struggling badly, but again there are points to be had here. S. Jackson is a must start. The Bears are due to get that feeble passing & running game going and this could be the week.

CIN vs DET: This is going to be a blowout fantasy game so make sure and get your Bengals in your lineups.

CLE vs SD: Cleveland players are a waste of time. Don’t start any of them. This will be another great game for the Chargers so a must start on all players involved.

DALLAS COWBOYS vs NYG: Mark my words the Cowboys will win this game! The Giants are the the team we are used to seeing. Their defense is a mess and their offense just can’t seem to get anything going. This is in “MY OPINION” a must start on all Cowboys players and be careful who you start on the Giants as the have another below average day ahead of them.

DEN vs KC: Denver should have an even better day than last week, so go ahead and start’em if you got‘em. Now on the Chiefs there is only one player I would consider starting and that is J. Charles.

HOU vs JAC: This should be another above average fantasy game with plenty of points to go around.

IND vs TEN: This is an above average game for Indy so feel free to start all players. The Titans have an average game but, because they are in a must win situation, I would go ahead and start them as well. Their playoff lives depend on this game.

MIA vs NE: Miami run game will get shut down by the Pats so bench R. Williams this week. Their passing game and all of NE players should have an above average day.

NO vs WAS: This is another big day for every Saint player! A must start on all players. Now Washington on the other hand is sinking fast and I would avoid all players except R. Cartright as he may score.

OAK vs PIT: Even though Oakland has looked better the last couple weekends, I still say avoid all players this weekend Pitt is just too strong. Go ahead and start your Pitt players since Roethlisberger should be back, then so will their offense.

SF vs SEA: Believe it or not this looks like it is going to be an above average fantasy day for both teams. Start all top players. J. Jones should be back from his bruised lung (OUCH) and Crabtree is starting to help A. Smith look like a real QB after all.

Good luck and my the Fantasy Gods bless your team.

Fantasy Report: Week #12 Picks

Posted by Gremlins On November - 26 - 2009

Week #12    Hot starts for this weekend

QB’s

1)      A. Rodgers – GB

2)      T. Brady – NE

3)      P. Manning – IND

4)      D. Brees – NO

5)      M. Schaub – HOU

RB’s

1)      C. Johnson – TEN

2)      A. Peterson – MIN

3)      C. Benson – ChI

4)      S. Jackson – STL

5)      M. Jones Drew – JAC

WR’s

1)      R, Moss – NE

2)      A. Johnson – HOU

3)      L. Fitzgerald –ARZ

4)      V. Jackson – SD

5)      R. Wayne – NE

TE’s

1)      D. Clark – IND

2)      V. Davis – SF

3)      A. Gates – SD

4)      T. Gonzales – ATL

5)      K. Winslow – TB

OK Guys! The Thursday Turkey Day Games so make sure you get your lineups in by Wednesday Night or Thursday morning just in case…

THURSDAY GAMES

GB vs DET: Well Detroit had a good game but everybody worth starting is hurt so don’t bother unless C. Johnson actually plays. Start all GB Players you got, they should rack up the points.

DALLAS vs OAK: After last week not sure what to expect or should I say which team will show up? Romo’s hurting (Back), Witten’s Hurting (Foot), Barber’s hurting (Quad). Sheez, might be wise to check the pre game info before you start anybody. Even with Dallas hurting the Defense is solid, so avoid all raider players.

NYG vs DEN: This should be a great game to watch, but not to have any players in. The Giants should score but I don’t think it will be a lot. Denver is slumping but Orton should be back at QB. Still, be careful who you start here.

SUNDAY & MONDAY GAMES

ARZ vs TEN: Sweet looking matchup here for Arizona. It is a must start for all Cards. With the way their schedule looks it might be a must start the rest of the way. Tenn is on a roll. Arizona’s defense is not that strong, so this looks like an above matchup for the Titans as well.

ATL vs TB: Atlanta needs a win bad before it’s too late. Look for them to rebound here against TB. With Turner out, Snelling will start at RB. Don’t waste your time with any TB players.

BAL vs PIT: This should be a very low scoring game. I would only start players here if you don’t have a better choice. Yes that includes R. Rice.

BUFF vs MIA: Buffalo is one of the worst teams this year and has no fantasy value what so ever. The only time I would use somebody from their team is if they play TB/Jac/Det/STL. You get my point. Now Miami is playing well R. (Stoner) Williams went off last week just like I said he could. And he might just do it again!

CAR vs NYJ: I would only start RB’s from these teams. I’m hearing that they will both Run, Run and Run some more… and that the passing games will be an afterthought at best.

CHI vs MIN: Wow I hate to say this but the Bears are awful and I don’t see them bouncing back soon. Feel free to start all MIN players you got.

CIN vs CLE: Hopefully C. Benson plays, if so he is a must start. Ocho is a must start against Cleveland as well. The rest is up to you. Don’t waste your time with Cleveland, they have only scored 5 offensive touchdown in the last 15 games.

HOU vs IND: This is going to be the best fantasy game of the week. A must start for all players involved.

JAC vs SF: This also looks like a above average matchup for both teams. Neither plays defense well but both will put up some TDs!

KC vs SD: This is an above average matchup for SD and I just don’t see KC upsetting SD like they did PIT! So feel free to start your SD players and avoid KC if possible.

NE vs NO: This is going to be the best game to watch this weekend. Man, could you ask for 2 better offensives? I don’t think so. This is a must start for all players involved. Brady to Moss and Brees to everybody!

PHI vs WAS: This should be a blowout, but you never can tell. This is a above average stat day for Philly, and does Washington even have a team to start? YES! If your in a bind pick up Cartwright – RB. He is a sleeper this weekend.

STL vs SEA: As bad as both teams defenses are playing I would go ahead and start all players involved, well within reason. S. Jackson/D. Avery/J. Brown & M. Hasselbeck/J.Jones(If Playing)/N. Burleson.

That’s it folks… Have a great Thanksgiving and remember to take time to enjoy the family then sneak away to the real important things like COWBOYS FOOTBALL!

Week #11    Hot starts for this weekend

QB’s

1)      A. Rodgers – GB

2)      B. Roethlisberger – PIT

3)      D. Brees – NO

4)      K. Warner – ARZ

5)      P. Manning – IND

RB’s

1)      M. Jones-Drew – JAC

2)      C. Johnson – TEN

3)      R. Rice – BAL

4)      A. Peterson – MIN

5)      F. Gore – SF

6)      D. Williams – CAR

WR’s

1)      A. Johnson – HOU

2)      L. Fitzgerald – ARZ

3)      R. Wayne – IND

4)      V. Jackson – SD

5)      R. Moss – NE

TE’s

1)      B. Celek – PHI

2)      D. Clark – IND

3)      A. Gates – SD

4)      T. Gonzales – ATL

5)      K. Winslow – TB

OK Guys! The Thursday Night games continue so make sure you get your lineups in by Wednesday Night or Thursday morning just in case…

THURSDAY NIGHT – NFL NETWORK –

MIA vs CAR: It’s a below average matchup for the Panthers this weekend especially with losing J. Gross their left tackle. So their run game is sure to suffer. With R. Brown hurt for Miami it looks like Ricky (pass the joint) Williams is going to have a big game, if he remember there’s a game.

Sunday & Monday Games –

ARZ vs STL: Sweet looking matchup here for Arizona. It is a must start for all Cards. With the way their schedule looks it might be a must start the rest of the way. As far as STL goes it doesn’t look good but not bad either. The Arizona run defense has fallen so S. Jackson should get some yards.

ATL vs NYG: Wow with Turner going down I see no hope for ATL in this game, avoid all players if possible. The Giants are in a must win game already and I would expect a good game out of them this weekend.

BAL vs IND: Indy defense is for real this year but after the beating they took from Brady I say go ahead and start Rice and the passing game. Well the Colts are a must start every weekend even when they play the once mighty Ravens.

BUF vs JAC: New coach, same old Bills! Avoid all players. This is a great game for M. Jones-Drew a must start. The passing game has an above average matchup so keep that in mind when you looking at who to start.

CHI vs PHI: The Bears are in trouble, The front line is a mess and that means no holes for Forte, so hopefully you have a better option this weekend. The Eagles have lost Westbrook for another three weeks after his second concussion. McCoy is an above average replacement so go ahead and start him this week. I see an above average game for McNabb as well.

CIN vs OAK: “Katie bar the door”. I see this as a blow out win for CIN. So if you have any Bengals feel free to start them this weekend. Don’t waste your time with any Raiders if you still have any on your roster.

CLE vs DET: The Lions & Browns are really that bad that even against each other I’m not sure who will score. Hmmmm, I think I would give K. Smith the nod out of anybody else in this game.

DALLAS vs WAS: Wow after last week’s game hard to tell which Cowboys team will show up. I’m hoping that last week woke up the Cowboys and they will get back on track this weekend. I see a heavy dose of the running game this week since 1) we forgot about it last week and 2) because Washington is very weak against the run. So Barber is a must start. I just don’t see anybody on the Redskins worth the spot to start this week so look elsewhere on you roster.

DEN vs SD: If Orton is OK from his injury last week, I see this as an above average passing game for the Broncos. Oh how the mighty have fallen, once the #1 defense now just a doormat? The wheels have come off Denver’s defense and nobody knows why? Well because of how they have played the last 6 qtr’s I say it’s an above average game for SD.

GB vs SF: This is a tough game to call, but I say start all players on both teams. GB is not that tough and SF is not that bad. This week things should go back to normal and both teams should score some points.

HOU vs TEN: This should be an a closer matchup than in week 2 so go ahead and start all player involved especially C. Johnson who should have another big game.

KC vs PIT: Hold off on any KC payers this weekend. With Bowe suspended and playing Pit, itst just not worth the risk. This looks like a nice above average game for the Steelers so feel free to start all you got. They should rebound nicely this week.

MIN vs SEA: The Vikings are in for another big game this weekend so get on board and start all players. Because of the injuries I wouldn’t start anybody this weekend from Seattle.

NE vs NYJ: Things have changed since the Jets beat the Patriots in week 2. The Patriots are a lot stronger and the Jets are beat up and missing key players so throw that game out the window. I see this as an above average matchup for the Patriots and a below average matchup for the Jets. So start your player accordingly.

NO vs TB: No way the Bucks can win this week, but they should at least score. The Saints have slowed down but they should get back on track this week and score 3-4 TD’s. So start all a players accordingly.

Well that’s it for me this weekend time to go play a little golf. Remember to say your fantasy prayers…

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray that Sunday’s lead I’ll keep. If you can help me start the player that peak, I’ll promise not to cuss and swear again next week.

Week #10 – Hot Starts For This Weekend

QB

1)      D. Brees – NO

2)      B. Roethlisberger – PIT

3)      P. Manning – Ind.

4)      P. Rivers – SD

5)      K. Warner – ARZ

RB

1)      R. Rice – BAL

2)      A. Peterson – MIN

3)      F. Gore – SF

4)      D. Williams – CAR

5)      M. Jones-Drew – JAC

WR

1)      M. Colston – NO

2)      R. Moss – NE

3)      V. Jackson – SD

4)      L. Fitzgerald –ARZ

5)      R. Wayne – IND

TE

1)      D. Clark – IND

2)      A. Gates – SD

3)      T. Gonzales – ATL

4)      J. Shockey – NO

5)      V. Davis – SF

OK Guys we start the Thursday Night games now so make sure you get your lineups in by Wednesday Night or Thursday morning just in case…

THURSDAY NIGHT – NFL NETWORK –

CHI vs SF: Chi is a pass 1st and then pass some more offense now. Not only that, but their defense has fallen to average as well. So I would start all players involved in this game, there will be plenty of Fantasy points to go around.

Sunday & Monday Games

ARZ vs SEA: Wow feel free to start all ARZ players you have it will be a great matchup for the Cardinals. Seattle will get beat but should score a couple TD’s this time around so start them if you don’t have anything better.

ATL vs CAR: This is a head scratcher now… .Atlanta was a passing team but now Turner has been going off. Hmmmm.. If I had anybody from ATL involved in this game I would probably start them. Carolina is another story. I think the running game will do OK but the passing game is done, they aren’t worth starting until they prove they are worth it again.

BAL vs CLE: R. Rice will go off a must start this weekend. CLE has put Brady Quinn back in at QB so avoid all Cleveland players until further notice.

BUF vs TEN: Man you would think that anybody with Buffalo players would be licking their chops, but wait a minute. Times have changed. Feel free to start all Titians especially C. Johnson who should have a nice game this week and don’t waste your time with the Bills.

CIN vs PIT: This is going to be a war, Pit is better than the last time they met but I still see some stats to be had here. I see it as only an average game for both teams so be careful who you start.

DALLAS vs GB: At the beginning of the year this looked like a tough game for the COWBOYS, but not so much anymore. Don’t get me wrong playing GB in GB is always tough, but this shouldn’t be “as bad”. Dallas is on a roll right now and is looking better than they have in a long time, where as the Packers have fallen apart lately. I would say after the Favre show in GB they just haven’t been the same. Dallas has the hottest receiver in the NFL right now in Austin and Smash, Dash & Tash are almost well and starting to roll again. I say start all Dallas players you got and only Rodgers from GB.

DEN vs WAS: Well even though is looks like a blow out here I would be careful and only start player I had to especially from Washington. With C. Portis out, look for Betts to have a deceit day.

DET vs MIN: For some reason Det has been able to shut down the Minnesota offense in the last 3 games. I really don’t see that happening again feel free to start all Viking layer you got and also K. Smith from Detroit.

HOU: BYE

IND vs NE: Game of the week should be a great game to watch and to have fantasy players in. I’m looking for a high scoring game from both sides. A must start on all players.

JAC vs NYJ: Look for a running game from both teams this weekend. I say avoid the Passing game if you can and feel free to start both teams’ running backs (Jones – Drew, T. Jones)

KC vs OAK: I just can’t get excited about anybody on these teams myself, so I’m leaving it up to you…

MIA vs TB: This is an above average game for the Dolphins and another rough game for the Bucs and I just don’t see them winning back to back games. So start you Miami players and only start them if you have to on the TB players.

NO vs STL: This game should have you licking your lips if you have any NO players. It’s a must start for all Saint players and go ahead and start Steven Jackson from STL if you got him he may even get his 2nd TD of the year this week.

NYG: BYE They better start praying to the football gods because if they don’t wake up fast their season will be over.

PHI vs SD: It’s a bad week to be an Eagle. After getting whipped by Dallas and their RB hurting now, they have to face a hot Charger team. With all the problems the Eagles have right now I see it as an above average game for the Chargers so Start’Em if you Got’Em. Hold off on your Eagles this week unless you’re hurting for options.

Alright Boys and girls remember to do your homework and study because there will be a Quiz on Thursday Night, and a final on Sunday Monday. Good luck all!

Sorry guys it’s going to be short and sweet this week. So read it and weap!

ARZ vs CHI: Boldin is hurt so Fitz will go off. Great matchup both sides.

ATL vs WAS: Good matchup for Atlanta but Washington couldn’t score against a high school team so don’t bother with them.

BAL vs CIN: Super running game matchups, not sure if anything will happen in the air!

BUF: BYE

CAR vs NO: Good solid matchup for both teams, start all players.

CLE: BYE

DAL vs PHI: Game of the week - I see this as a defensive battle and a low scoring game if the Cowboys are going to pull this off. If Philly gets rolling we will be in trouble. So below average start for all players.

DEN vs PIT: Another defensive battle here. Try to avoid using players in this game if you can.

DET vs SEA: Detroit is in bad shape so expect the Seahawks to thrive. Start all Seattle players you got.

GB vs TB: GB has to be devastated by the beating Favre gave them. I still think they will bounce back this week so start’em if you got’em. TB is a below average matchup.

HOU vs IND: Should be a high scoring game must start all players.

JAC vs SF: Jones-Drew is the only player worth starting in this game unless your in a bind.

MIA vs NE: A lot of trash talk going on here, but the bottom line is a below average matchup for the Dolphins and an above average day for the passing game of the Patriots.

MIN: BYE

NYG vs SD: The Giants are home and on a 3 game losing streak, that’s a bad week to be a Charger. Start all Giants but it will probably be a below average day for the Chargers.

NYJ: BYE

OAK: BYE “Yea like it matters”

STL: BYE

SF vs TEN: Looks like a good game but be careful here, It’s a below average game for the 49ers and an average game at best for Tennessee.

That’s it for me this week hope to make it up to you next week.

3)      A. Rodgers – GB

4)      T. Romo – DAL

5)      J. Cutler – CHI

RB

1)      J. Addai – IND

2)      M. Forte – CHI

3)      K. Smith – DET

4)      A. Peterson – MIN

5)      S. Jackson – STL

WR

1)      R. Wayne – IND

2)      M. Sims-Walker – JAC

3)      M. Austin – DAL

4)      L. Fitzgerald –ARI

5)      G. Jennings – GB

TE

1)      D. Clark – IND

2)      J. Witten – DAL

3)      A. Gates – SD

4)      T. Gonzales – ATL

5)      O. Daniels – HOU

O.K. I Just got back to town from a wonderful weekend in Big D. There is nothing like watching the Cowboys stomp a mud hole in somebody to really make the trip fun. After I get you guys up to date on the Fantasy World, I hope to write a brief post about my trip. A+

ARI vs CAR: ARI is on a three game winning streak so they are on a role; they also have one of the easiest schedules the rest of the way. So a must start from here on out. Wells is looking to take the starting RB position from Hightower but hasn’t got it yet. CAR on the other hand is a mess. Delhomme is about to lose his happy home and the running game is still not up to last season’s level. This week go ahead and start the passing game but stay away from the running game.

ATL vs NO: It’s a must start every weekend for the Saints but this is a below average day for the Falcons. I would stay away from the running game this weekend but the passing game is an option if you don’t have anything better.

BAL vs DEN: This is one tough matchup this week. I see it as a very stingy defensive battle that will produce low scores and very few stats. So unless it’s your only option try to avoid all players.

BUF vs HOU: Buffalo is on a winning streak but still not worth starting, Evans has moved ahead of Owens for the top receiver spot in Buffalo because he has a better report with Fitzpatrick. Even though HOU has been on fire in the air the last few games I expect a more aggressive dose from their running attack this week, because the weather will demand it.

CHI vs CLE: Forte is finally in for a big weekend and it’s about time! He has been a huge flop so far this season. Cleveland is the worst team in the league right now and has no fantasy value what so ever.

CIN: BYE

DAL vs SEA: After last weekend’s game, there is now way we can do anything but whip Seattle this week. This is a must start game for all Cowboys players. With the way the Dallas Defense has been playing it is a very bad matchup for the Seattle offense. Try to avoid all players this week.

DET vs STL: This is a good matchup for all players involved including Stafford. He could make a nice fill in QB if you’re in a spot this weekend. K. Smith should put up solid #’s this week. Even though St. Louis has the worst rated offense of “ALL” teams they still should rack up a few points this weekend especially S. Jackson who is a must start this weekend.

GB vs MIN: This has to be the biggest game of the year. What better can we ask for then Brett going home to play against his old team? This should be a high scoring game on both sides so feel free to start all players involved.

IND vs S.F.: INDY is a little banged up right now so it’s tough to say who will be the man this week, really check your injury report before you start any players involved. My gut says Brown won’t play so Addai will have a big day. But that’s just my gut talking. A. Smith is now the starter in SF and Crabtree looks like he is the real deal, sound good? Not this week it doesn’t with the way IND pas defense is playing you might want to look for some other options this weekend.

JAC vs TEN: If you’re lucky enough to have Garrard as your back-up QB this is the week to use him. He should have a banner week against the week pass defense of TEN. Also Sims-Walker is a must start this week as well. I have been hearing rumors all week that V. Young is going to be the starter this week? If this is true he would make a great pickup if you need a QB for the week. Stay away from the Tenn running game it is a below average matchup.

KC: Bye Week

MIA vs NYJ: This is a below matchup for both teams. The defenses are just to strong on both sides to make any player worth starting unless you’re in a tight spot.

NE: Bye Week

NYG vs PHI: This looks like it will be an easy win for the Giants, but hold on. The Eagles have always found a way to slow down the Giants. I have a bad feeling for this game and with the injuries on the Eagles I would say it is a below average match up on both teams.

OAK vs SD: OK lets look at the ”RAIDERS” well they are an awful team, that can’t even get off the deck to try and win a game. So don’t waste your time starting anybody. This looks like an above average game for the Chargers so start all players.

PIT: Bye Week

TB: Bye Week

WAS: Bye Week

Week #7: Hot starts for this weekend

QB

1)      P. Manning – IND

2)      M. Schaub – HOU

3)      D. Brees – NO

4)      P. Rivers – SD

5)      T. Brady – NE

RB

1)      D. Williams – CAR

2)      R. Grant – GB

3)      F. Gore – SF

4)      S. Jackson – STL

5)      M. BARBER – DALLAS COWBOYS

WR

1)      R. Moss – NE

2)      A Johnson – HOU

3)      R. Wayne – IND

4)      R. White – ATL – Grrrrrrr don’t like it but we can’t stop any receiver right now let alone a good one.

5)      V. Jackson – SD

TE

1)      D. Clark – IND

2)      A Gates – SD

3)      J. Witten – DALLAS COWBOYS

4)      T. Gonzales – ATL – Grrrr – same see WR’s for explanation

5)      O Daniels – HOU

O.K. guys, no team by team report this week as I’ll be leaving So. Cal in about an hour to fly to Dallas, Tx. for the Dallas Cowboys vs Atlanta Falcons football game. I should be back in time for next week’s full blow report again like normal. But since this is the game I’m going to I’ll give you my “Fantasy” opinion on it.

Cowboys vs Falcons: When I picked this game to take my lovely wife to, I wanted to pick a good game. One that I thought would be tough to win, but thought we could win. Man it looks like I might have bit off more than we (Cowboys) can chew. The Falcons are A LOT tougher than I had hope for, but I think we have a good chance at pulling out a hard fought win. With that said, here is the Fantasy outlook.

QBs

1)      Romo – Top 10 week

2)      Ryan – Just outside the top 10

Advantage Cowboys

RBs

1)      Barber – Top 5 / Jones – Top 25  /Choice – Top 30

2)      Turner – Top 20 at best

Advantage: Dallas, and this is the key to us winning this game. If Turner goes off, we are toast. The way we have been playing I see no reason we can’t hold Turner to under 75 yards this weekend.

Receivers

1)      Witten – Top 3 TE / Austin – Top 30 / Williams – Top 40

2)      T. Gonzales – Top 5 TE / R. White – Top 5 / Jenkins – Top 60 at best

Advantage: ATL. With the holes we have in our secondary it’s going to be real tough containing those 2 top level receivers. If by chance we can keep them in front of us and contain them, we will have an easy win this week.

Summary

The Falcons are no longer a run first team like last season. Their offense is now a pass first offense. Now is that because Turner’s not as good as he used to be or because with the new pass first approach he is getting fewer opportunities to get that big run? Only time will tell. Atlanta’s defense is ranked in the bottom 10 in both passing and rushing, but don’t let that fool you. Their Red Zone defense has been outstanding and they seem to always come up with the big plays when they need them. So even though it sounds like we should light them up, I think it’s going to be hard to score. Well that’s it guys, time to go catch a plane ride to heaven. Will report back on the game with next week’s report.

Week #6  - Hot Starts For This Week

OK, for those of you that are actually reading these posts I have one thing to say, “I got whipped last weekend” and it looks like I may get whipped again this weekend. Wow after going 4-0 thought I was going to run the board! OK J/K that never happens in Fantasy Football.  But I am trying to make a point here. Just because I got schooled last weekend I’m not throwing in the towel or making wholesale trades.

I’m going back to the stats and see if I can’t make better choices this weekend. So my point is Fantasy Football is a long season with a lot of luck thrown in, so your only goal is being good enough to make the playoffs, because even if you just barely manage to get your team in the playoffs, ANYTHING can happen. So keep your head up and keep working your line ups and the waivers wires, you just might find that magic player that puts you over the top.

QB

1)      A. Rodgers – GB

2)      T. Brady – NE

3)      D. Brees – NO

4)      D. McNabb – PHI

5)      M. Hasselbeck – SEA

RB

1)      C. Benson – CIN

2)      M. Jones-Drew – JAC

3)      R. Grant – GB

4)      D. Williams – CAR

5)      S. Jackson – STL

WR

1)      R. Moss – NE

2)      L. Fitzgereld – ARZ

3)      A. Johnson – HOU

4)      G. Jennings – GB

5)      S. Smith – CAR

TE

1)      T. Gonzales – ATL

2)      A. Gates – SD

3)      B. Celek – PHI

4)      O. Daniels – HOU

5)      J. Carlson – SEA

1) ARZ vs SEA: Seattle has a tough defense, but not good enough to stop the passing game of Arizona so start all players. The Cards’ running game is another story. Here they have under achieved all season, its time to drop or trade them if you can get anything of value for them. Seattle’s passing game went off last weekend and should have another above average game this weekend making it a must start on all players.

ATL vs CHI: Chicago’s defense isn’t what it once was so go ahead and start you Falcon players, the passing game should be fine this weekend and Turner is a must start every week. Chicago has an above matchup as well, feel free to start all players. This should be a high scoring game.

BAL vs MIN: Bad, bad week for the Raven players this weekend. They are not on the same level as the Vikings are right now and it will show. Vikings on the other hand have a tough road ahead as well. With the exception of Peterson, I would look for other options this week and next if you can.

BUF vs NYJ: Buffalo only scored 3 points last weekend. “ENOUGH SAID”. Don’t waste your time with them. The Jets look OK this weekend, with the addition of Braylon Edwards the passing game will only get better and should open some holes for the running backs so good things lie ahead.

CAR vs TB: The Bucs stink right now so feel free to start all Panthers you’ve got! The matchup is always below average no matter who they play BUT there is still some players on this team worth starting but be careful to choose wisely.

CIN vs HOU: Benson is playing great right now and should get a few more carries this week because Leonard (passing down back) is hurting. Coles is on the way out. Caldwell and Henry are starting to steal catches from him consistently, with Caldwell being the better player by far. A. Johnson is a beast and probably the only player worth starting this week.

CLE vs PIT: Cleveland will be lucky to score a touchdown this week against Pitts tough defense, so avoid all players if possible. The Steelers should have an above matchup this weekend especially the running game so start accordingly.

DALLAS COWBOYS: BYE – But I’ll be in big D for the next game against the Falcons!

DEN vs SD: Should be an average matchup for the Broncos at best this week. If anything their running game should be OK. SD is just the opposite. Their passing game should have a above average day and the running game will suffer.

DET vs GB: The Lions are in for a rough day and probably will get blown out this weekend. C. Johnson is hurt no matter what the Lions are saying so be careful in starting him. The Packers are pissed and should go off on Detroit this weekend after getting embarrassed by Favre’s Vikings the last game they played.

IND: BYE

JAC vs STL: This is the week to start your Jag players; they should have a great game against the Rams feeble defense.  The same goes for the Rams this weekend it might be their best game of the season.

KC vs WASH: A rough game for the Chiefs not sure I would start anybody unless I had to because of bye week pressure. Washington has an above matchup this weekend especially the running game.

MIA: BYE

NE vs TENN: Patriots should put up above average #’s this weekend, hell maybe even better than that.. So start’em if you got’em. Titians are in trouble they like to run and NE won’t allow much. So if they get anything it will be in the air and that won’t be much,

NO vs NYG: Not sure about this one. It looks like a tough matchup for both teams but their offence’s are just to strong to be shut out so feel free to start all player on both teams.

OAK vs PHIL: well I won’t bother saying don’t start any Raiders because I’m sure you all figured that out already and if you haven’t then you shouldn’t be playing Fantasy Football. Now the eagles are going to go off this week so a must start on all players.

SF: BYE

That’s it for this week and may the Fantasy Gods bless your team and mine.

Week #5  - Hot Starts For This Week

QB’s

1)      P. Manning – IND
2)      Schaub – HOU
3)      Flacco – BAL
4)      T. ROMO – DAL Yes I said ROMO!
Sleepers – Schaub – HOU

RB’s

1)      A. Peterson – MIN
2)      Mendenhall – PIT
3)      B. Jacobs – NYG
4)      Westbrook – PHI
Sleepers – Coffee – SF, Harrison – CLE

WR’s

1)      A. Johnson – HOU
2)      R. Moss – NE
3)      R. Wayne – IND
4)      L. Fitzgereld – ARZ
Sleepers – Sims-Walker – JAC

TE’s

1)      D. Clark – IND *****
2)      J. Witten – DAL
3)      T. Gonzales – ATL
4)      J. Carlson – SEA

***OK Guys you need to really start watching the Injury Report every week and watch all the pre game info you can to have any chance of getting it right.*** Never leave a roster spot open ever! Work the waiver wire to fill you bye weeks.

ARZ vs HOU: Highest over under of the week here, should be a shoot out. Above average game for both teams.

ATL vs SF: Above average matchup for the passing game of ATL, but a tough week for their running game. SF will have a tough go as well but look for Coffee to step it up this weekend.

BAL vs CIN: Big game this weekend, winner takes over first place in the division. BAL will pound the run while Cinn will put on an air show. Start your players accordingly.

BUF vs CLE: Buffalo will split carries between Lynch & Jackson, not sure which will have the best day. Even Edwards will have a better than average day. Cleveland gave up the only player they had worth a damn, so with the exception of Harrison I wouldn’t start anybody.

CAR vs WAS: This is a great matchup for the Panthers running game, start everybody you have. Even the Panther passing game will have an above average game. On the other hand, the Redskins are in for a long night of running the ball because the Panthers can’t stop anybody. Portis is a must start.

CHI: BYE

DAL vs KC: Above average matchup for the Cowboys, but after last weekend’s game I’ll keep my mouth shut. The passing game shoule have a great day since the Chiefs don’t have a pass rush to speak of. But who is left to catch the ball? Witten and Hurd would be my best guess. The running game is a must start every week especially this weekend. GO COWBOYS!

DEN vs NE: Below average matchup for the Broncos, not that they ever put up great numbers. NE crushed them last season but will have a tougher time this weekend. Still, you have to start all players involved.

DET vs PIT: A new QB (Daunte Culpepper) won’t save this team, so with the exception of Kevin Smith, and C. Johnson don’t bother. Pittsburgh is licking it chops to run against this team. Look for a huge game out of Mendenhall.

GB: BYE

IND vs TEN: Start you Colts players as Manning will have a heyday again this weekend. But I don’t think their running game will be as strong because Tennessee is tough against the run. The Titans should be playing like their lives depend on it. At 0-4, they have to win this weekend.

JAC vs SEA: Wow Seattle’s pass defense is nothing to brag about so feel free to start you Jacksonville passing game. That is if you don’t have a better matchup somewhere else. This will be an above average game for the Seattle passing attack as well since the Jags are playing soft defense, so start all players.

MIA vs NYJ: This will be a low score game, and a below average game for all players involved this weekend.

MIN vs STL The Vikings look like the clear favorites to blow this team out, but I think it will be just an average game for the Viking players who will let their guard down after last weekend’s showdown. The Rams haven’t really showed up this season yet, maybe this is the week they decide to play.

NO : BYE

NYG vs OAK: New week same old Raiders. Start your Giants players this weekend especially the running back Jacobs. He should have a nice day. Oakland is a waste of time this weekend, bench everybody.

PHI vs TB: The Eagles should win this game easily, so the passing game will be below average but the running game will excel. I don’t expect much from the Bucs, so try to avoid all players if possible this week.

SD: BYE

Fantasy Report: Week #4 Picks

Week #4  - Hot Starts For This Week

… or I should call it “Who is Not Hurt and Can Actually Play This Week”

QB’s

1)      P. Manning – ID
2)      D. Brees – NO
3)      B. Rothlisberger – PIT
4)      J. Cutler – CHI
Sleepers – Schaub – HOU, D. Garrard – JAC

RB’s

1)      A. Peterson – MIN
2)      G. Coffee – SF
3)      M. Forte – CHI
4)      C. Benson – CIN
Sleepers – Choice (if Barber out) – DAL

WR’s

1)      R. Wayne – IND
2)      A. Johnson – HOU
3)      C. Ochocinco – CIN
4)      R. Moss – NE
Sleepers – D. Hester – CHI, B. Edwards – CLE

TE’s

1)      D. Clark – IND *****
2)      J. Witten – DAL
3)      J. Shocky – NO
4)      C. Cooley – WAS

***OK, guys you need to really start watching the Injury Report every week and watch all the pre-game info you can to have any chance of getting it right.***

ARZ : BYE

ATL: BYE

BAL vs N.E.: Below average matchup for the Ravens but they still could win the game. It’s another tough game for the Patriots, but unless you have other options you got to start’em.

BUF vs MIA: Well TO is being TO again so if he has a good week, better trade him if you can. It looks like a bad day for Bills running game, but good matchup for the Passing game. Pennington is gone for the season, so drop your Dolphin receivers. They were below average before, they are useless now.

CAR: BYE

CHI vs DET: Great matchup for Forte and the passing game this weekend. It’s a must start on all involved. Now with Kevin Smith hurt the passing game will have to pick it up a notch. Still not sure how much that will help Detroit.

CIN vs CLE: Bengals have a good matchup this weekend, both the running game and passing game will excel. The Browns may not even score 10 pts against the “New” Bengals. If they start Anderson instead of Quinn then start B. Edwards, because he always does better with Anderson under center.

DAL vs DEN: Below average matchup for the Cowboys, Denver has only given up 1 TD this year so far. I would expect the Cowboys passing game to have to pick it up a notch because of the injuries in the running game. We will still run the ball, but not as much as normal. Denver’s offense is a mess, so even with the Cowboys defense being so uneven, I would say it is still a below matchup for the Broncos as well. My prediction is another tough win for the COWBOYS 17-10.

G.B vs MIN: Below average matchup for the Packers, Minnesota’s defense is for real. Minnesota on the other hand has an above average matchup this week so feel free to start all players.

HOU vs OAK: A good week to start your Texans, they should do well against the soft Raider defense. The only Raider I would start is McFadden. The Texans have a bottom 10 ranked defense right now so even the Raiders should be able to run on them.

IND vs SEA: Start you Colts players as Manning will have a hay day again this weekend. The Seahawks should be able to run the ball so start J.Jones but the passing game is a below matchup.

JAC vs TEN: Wow the way Tennessee is getting shredded in their passing defense you may be able to start your Jacksonville players if you don’t have a better matchup somewhere else. This will be an above average game for the Titians so start all players.

KC vs NYG: Avoid all KC players this week if you can. Now on the other hand feel free to start all of your NYG players as it is an above matchup for them.

N.O. vs NYJ: The Jets look tough but not tough enough to bench your N.O. players. The Jets will play from behind all game so expect a good game from their passing game, not that they have a great running game to start with.

PHI: BYE

PIT vs SD: The Steelers have average game this weekend. So feel free to start all players. San Diego on the other hand has a rough matchup against a tough defense, but they will still score some points.

STL vs SF: If Coffee is still out there he is a great option this weekend. Avoid all Rams players this weekend as they have a below average match up.

TB vs WAS: New starting QB but same old dead offense, don’t bother with any Buccaneer players this weekend. Washington has a sweet matchup and really could unload on TB, so a must start for all players.

4)      T. Romo – DALLAS – will bounce back this weekend

RB’s

1)      M. Jones-Drew  – JAC
2)      A. Peterson – MIN
3)      D. Sproles – SD – Breakout game
4)      F. Jackson – BUF

WR’s

1)      Moss – NE – Due to break out
2)      A. Johnson – HOU
3)      L. Fitzgereld – ARZ

TE’s

1)      D. Clark – IND
2)      T. Gonzales – ATL
3)      J. Witten – DALLAS
4)      A. Gates – SD
5)      J. Shockey – NO

Attention all Fantasy Addicts: Sorry but running real late this week so I’m going to have to make it short and sweet..

ARZ vs IND: Great Fantasy Game Start all major players in this game

ATL vs N.E..: New England Defense is a mess so feel free to start your Atl. Players.

BAL vs CLE: Cleveland is awful. Start all Balt. Players avoid all Cleveland players if possible

BUF vs N.O..: Buffalo will do fine offensively and you know that NO will go off again so start all players.

CAR vs DAL: Unfortunately the COWBOYS have some serious holes in our defense right now. So feel free to start your Carolina players. “They won’t win” but they will score. S. Smith & Muhammad will have an above average day and the running game should be the same for Carolina. DALLAS – Barber should play but there will be a bigger dose of F. Jones this week. Romo coming of the worst game of his carrier will bounce back with a nice game this week as I’m sure that the panthers will try to make Romo beat them by trying to stop the run. Yea right stop the run? Sure they will..

CHI vs SEA: Forte will have a nice game so make sure you start him. Avoid Seattle’s passing game since Hasselbeck is hurt. Only start J. Jones this week

CIN vs PITT: Believe it or not it should be a nice “Air Show” this weekend unless the Pit D  shows up

DEN vs OAK:  Avoid all players if you can. Should be a low scoring affair, both Defenses have improved

DET vs WSH: This could be the Lions 1st win in 2 years. Washington looks horrible on both sides of the ball.

G.B. vs STL: Both teams should have a good offensive day this week start all players.

HOU vs JAC: Good game for Houston’s Players this weekend and only start M. Jones-Drew on  the jag’s

K.C. vs PHIL: Tough game with all the eagles injury’s. Becarefull who you start make sure they are playing.

MIA vs SD.: This should be a run orientated game from both sides. Then SD will win it with their passing game, good stats for both this week.

MIN vs S.F..: Hmmm AP was shut down by them last time so Favre will have to have a good game to win, 49ers are on fire right now and a must start

NYG vs T.B..: Start your NYG players this week since the T.B. defense has been real soft so far I’d hold off on starting anybody on TB unless you have to.

NYJ vs TEN: “Let’s get ready to rummmmble” This should be the game of the week. Start all players as it should be a very exciting game of 2 very tough teams so far this season.
