Introducing the Graphics Gallery

If you’ve been following Lone Star Struck you already know we love to make graphics and share them on the web, if you are new to the site we welcome you to our “fanatical place”. As a graphic designer who is also very passionate about the Cowboys, it makes me so happy to share my artwork with other fans.

I’m excited to announce that our newly designed website has a dedicated art gallery for your viewing pleasure.

With a mix of old and new, you will find a plethora of Cowboys themed art. I’ve come up with 6 categories to help you sort through the collection.

  • Classic

Throwback, legendary and instant classic moments/milestones.

  • Covers

Cover images for Facebook and other social media profiles.

  • Holidays

Various graphics for holidays throughout the year.

  • Social

Includes greetings or statements, things you would share with your friends online.

  • Team

This is the biggest category and will include anything from current player graphics to game day graphics.

  • Wallpapers

Desktop wallpapers to show your team spirit and customize your PC.

Check it out for yourself, I hope you enjoy it!

Happy Independence Day

4th of July 2013

It’s that time of the year again where we celebrate the birth of an idea, an ideal, and the greatest nation in the world.

While we enjoy all the grilling and all the fireworks with our friends and families today, let’s remember all the sacrifices that were made to make this celebration of freedom possible.

Thanks to all the service men and women who keep freedom ringing for all of us both at home and abroad.

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness don’t come cheap…

Happy 4th of July to everyone.

From Sea to Shining Sea

It’s a great debate amongst NFL football fans however the nickname that was given to the Dallas Cowboys back in 1978 holds strong today.

They appear on television so often that their faces are as familiar to the public as presidents and movie stars. They are the Dallas Cowboys, “America’s Team.” – Bob Ryan, NFL Films

Like it or not the Dallas Cowboys will forever and always be known as “America’s Team”.

AP’s All Pro Team 2013

Jason Witten and DeMarcus Ware were named to The Associated Press 2013 All-Pro Team. Both were picked to the second-team.

This is Ware’s 6th consecutive selection, every year of his career thus far. It is Witten’s 3rd time to be chosen for the AP team.

Congratulations once again Ware and Witten!

Pro Bowl Cowboys

Pro Bowl 13

Jason Witten and Demarcus Ware were the only 2 Cowboys selected for the 2013 Pro Bowl.

This will be TE Witten’s 8th Pro Bowl appearance, and LB Ware’s 7th straight appearance.

Many feel there were several snubs in this year’s selection, most notably Dez Bryant, Dan Bailey and Anthony Spencer.

However Ware and Witten are most deserving and we would like to congratulate them on their honors.

Want To Know The Best Part About Labor Day?

Do you know what the best part about Labor Day is? It’s not that it’s national slacktastic day or that it gives us a reason to have a cookout and invite people over. In my world the best part about Labor Day is knowing that it’s football season baby! Luckily enough our beloved Cowboys kick the season off in two days against the much hated Giants in the NFL season opener. Wednesday night cannot come soon enough!

We’ve been longing for our football to return since New Years Day, the last game of the season which unfortunately we lost to the Giants who went on to win the Super Bowl. Yeah, whoever is in charge of marketing and the schedule planning was brilliant this year. A huge stage has been set for all to see – America’s Team looking for redemption against the Super Bowl Champions. We will have our revenge, oh yes we will. Hey Mr. Manning BEWARE! – DeMarcus Ware and Sean Lee are coming for you!

So go on and enjoy your Labor Day, just don’t get any barbecue sauce on your favorite jersey because our Cowboys kickoff  in two days! Did you hear me? TWO DAYS!

Be sure to join our Gameday Live Chat beginning at kickoff (although many of us are here early). The chat is always open to stop by and say hi anytime! GO COWBOYS!
